About Secondary Program

The Secondary Level (Class X) program at Gujarat State Open School is designed for students who wish to complete their matriculation through Open & Distance Learning mode. This program is equivalent to Class 10th of any recognized state or national board.

Key Point: The Secondary certificate from GSOS is valid for higher secondary admission, employment, and all purposes where a Class 10th certificate is required.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Age

14 years as on 31st July of admission year

Prior Qualification

Class 8 pass from any recognized school

No Maximum Age

No upper age limit for admission

Scholarship: SC/ST/OBC students may avail scholarship as per Gujarat Government norms. Please submit relevant documents during admission.

Examination Pattern

Examinations are conducted twice a year. Students can appear for exams on an On-Demand basis after completing the minimum study period. Each subject carries 100 marks with theory and practical components where applicable.

Passing Criteria: Minimum 33% marks required in each subject. Students who fail in one or two subjects can appear for improvement exams.
