Background

Gujarat State Open School (GSOS) is a Government of Gujarat initiative established in 2011 to provide open and distance education to students unable to pursue formal schooling. GSOS offers flexible learning opportunities with recognised certifications across all 33 districts of Gujarat.

Our Journey

2011

Established as autonomous open schooling board by Government of Gujarat.

2012

First academic session launched with Secondary and Senior Secondary programs.

2015

Introduced online admission system and digital student records.

2018

Received COBSE recognition and national-level membership.

2020

Launched online result verification and certificate authentication portal.

2024

Expanded to 500+ study centers across all 33 districts of Gujarat.
